Wedi fy lleoli yng Ngogledd Cymru, rwyf wedi gweld y cyd-destun diwylliannol yn arwyddocaol o ran gwneud, nid mewn ffordd ddisgrifiadol llythrennol ond yn y lleoliadau a’r lleoedd y mae gwaith yn cael ei wneud a’i harddangos. Rwyf o hyd yn arbrofol, mae lleoedd a chyd-destunau gwahanol yn bwydo i mewn i fy iaith peintio sy'n ymddangos fel pe bai'n symud o fewn sefyllfaoedd preswyl a phan fyddaf yn gweithio yn fy stiwdio yn Harlech, mae'r stwidio yn aml yn adlewyrchu lleoliad.

Mae fy ngwaith yn ymwneud â lliw mwy na heb yn gyfan gwbl, y rhyngweithiadau a nodweddion a'r gwahanol ffyrdd mewn ystyr darluniadol y gall amlygu fel delwedd. Yn ddiweddar, rwyf wedi canolbwyntio mwy o'r paent fel mater ei hun ac mae cymhwyso pigment bellach yn destun ac yn ddelwedd.

Based in North Wales, I have found the cultural context significant in terms of making, not in a literal descriptive way but in the locations and places that work is made and exhibited. Always experimental, different places and contexts feed into my language of painting that seems to shift both within residency situations and when I am making in my Harlech studio, the latter often reflective of placement. 

My work is almost exclusively concerned with colour, the interactions and characteristics and the different ways in a pictorial sense that it can manifest as an image. Recently, I have focused more of the paint as matter itself and the application of pigment is now both subject and image.
